May 01, 2009

San Francisco - Olivet College of Journalism (OCJ) is pleased to announce it will begin offering preparatory courses to help ensure the academic preparation of all students entering the journalism program. A selection of the courses will be offered beginning this fall.
Preparatory courses are designed to prepare students entering the program for the first time for more advanced studies. They will include basic instruction on theory course and a news writing course.
Though the courses are being designed to target students interested in transferring into the journalism program, “any student with an interest in journalism can enroll," explained Johnathan Davis, OCJ Program Director.
The additions to the journalism curriculum are being implemented based on the latest findings from the program’s ongoing curriculum review process.
