Olivet College of Business (OCB) and Olivet College of Art & Design (OCAD) collaborated on hosting its first workshop that combined elements of business into fashion design and merchandising.
The workshop was hosted by a former San Francisco design institute instructor Marcie Byrde who shared her experiences in entrepreneurship in the field. The workshop attracted students mainly from OCB and OCAD, while including students from other college as well.
As Olivet continue to branch out into areas of business and commerce, Byrde's Christian influence and perspective in the fashion design industry brought much inspiration to the students. Several students working on startups of their own benefitted from the workshop and hope to successfully establish a business grounded with Christian principles.
