August 17, 2010

Last week, Olivet University hosted a visit from representatives of Global Media Outreach, a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC) which is using cutting edge global communications technology and the internet to share Jesus.

Global Media Outreach’s Chairman and Founder Walt Wilson and IT Director Chris Steipp joined Olivet leaders to introduce each other’s ministry and find possible areas of collaboration.  Wilson shared about the millions of people hearing about Jesus Christ on the internet through their websites.  He also spoke about opportunities for students to gain exposure to the use of technology in missions.

Olivet University President Dr. William Wagner shared the University’s mission to train Christian leaders in the “network generation”.

“Global Media Outreach is doing some very exciting things,” said Dr. William Wagner, President of Olivet University. “Olivet is leading in the area of internet education and they are a leading ministry in internet evangelism.  I think we’ll find there are many places where both groups can collaborate.

Global Media Outreach is a global ministry presenting the good news of Jesus Christ online 24/7.  Its vision is to give everyone on earth multiple opportunities to know Jesus.  For more information on Global Media Outreach, visit: http://www.globalmediaoutreach.com/.
