SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. – Olivet University recently hosted a meet-and-greet event for their new neighbors in Scotts Valley.
Though the cloudless, sunny day may have tempted residents to head for the beach one last time before the fall weather kicks in, numbers showed up at the Craig Memorial Chapel to learn more about the school and to get connected with students and staff.
A barbeque reception held outside the chapel proceeded OU’s presentation of the school and the Q&A session with the school’s president, Dr. Bill Wagner.
Residents also used the time to testify to the students of Olivet, whom they noted as bright, diligent, and thoughtful. All those who spoke expressed their joy in seeing the campus come to life since the school that previously occupied the space shut down their operations.
After the event, several residents asked to be added to OU’s e-mail list to receive updates on the school and the campus. In addition to providing news and information, the list was set up to create a way for residents to contact the school.
