Olivet University will be participating in GlobaLink, the online portion of Cape Town 2010: The Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization. The University is an official GlobaLink site, giving the school access to a wealth of resources coming from what is sure to be historic conference, being held October 16-25, 2010 in Cape Town, South Africa.
The Cape Town GlobaLink connects more than 600 sites around the world to participate remotely in the Cape Town 2010 conference. It hopes to gather people in their own cities to discuss issues facing the church.
Olivet University's program for GlobaLink viewings will be managed by Olivet Theological College and Seminary (OTCS). Gatherings will be announced on My Olivet by OTCS throughout the following weeks in order for students to take part in this remote viewing of the conference.
In addition, students will be able to participate the conference's online discussion forum, Global Conversation. The goal of the Global Conversation is to bring the global church together to engage important issues related to world evangelization. Students will be able to submit comments, view papers, and be a part of a global online community.
