Business Program Offer Students Summer Internships

July 18, 2012

Olivet business students are spending their summer interning at several companies across the US as part of their ministry internship experience.

After the Summer Quarter kicked off from the end of June, a handful of OCB (Olivet College of Business) students headed to different business companies across the United States to start their exciting ministry internship experience.

Each intern student from the business college is paired with a mentor approved by the college and works under the guidance of a supervisor at the internship company.

Olivet students seek to be trained to be ministry-bound men and women through academics and practical hand-on experience.   In a variety of business companies Business College collaborates, OCB intern students are working diligently to put what they learned from the classroom into real business practices .  Through the experience, students learn about living out Christian principles in the real business world.

“Professionally I have really gained a lot of good insight into how global business runs, and the people I worked with are so welcoming and warm to me. Gradually I am learning how to be an open-minded and effective missionary, ” said Kelly Lew, who is taking part in her first year ministry internship.
